Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie pan and set aside.
- Arrange the sliced peaches evenly in the bottom of the pie crust.
Mixing and Baking
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, salt, and nutmeg until smooth.
- Pour the custard mixture over the peaches in the pie crust.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the custard is set and lightly golden.
- Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
Serve warm or chilled, with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for 3-4 days, covered with plastic wrap or aluminum foil. Freezing is possible but best enjoyed fresh.
