For the Cake
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • Ingredients required for cake mix (water, eggs, oil) Refer to the package instructions for specific amounts.
For the Ice Cream Layer
  • 1 quart vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup cookie dough (store-bought or homemade)
For Topping
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • Chocolate sauce for drizzling Use as desired.

Preparation
  1. Bake the chocolate cake according to package instructions and let it cool completely.
  2. Once cooled, slice the cake in half horizontally to create two layers.
Layering and Freezing
  1. Place one layer on a serving plate and spread a layer of vanilla ice cream on top.
  2. Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough over the ice cream and then top with the second cake layer.
  3. Spread the remaining vanilla ice cream on top and smooth it out.
  4. Freeze the cake for at least 4 hours until set.
Serving
  1. Before serving, top with whipped cream and drizzle with chocolate sauce.
  2. Slice the cake into pieces and enjoy it cold.

Notes

Make sure your cake is completely cool before layering with ice cream to prevent melting. You can add chocolate chips to the cookie dough or mix in different flavors of ice cream for a fun twist. If you want a smoother top layer, use a spatula to evenly spread the ice cream.
