Ingredients
  

Wontons and Broth
  • 1 pack Wontons (store-bought or homemade)
  • 6 cups Chicken or vegetable broth
Aromatics
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced) Use fresh for better flavor.
  • 1 inch Ginger (grated) Use fresh for the best flavor.
  • 2 stalks Green onions (sliced) For garnishing
Seasoning and Oils
  • 3 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon Chili oil Adjust according to spice preference.
Vegetables
  • 2 cups Vegetables (like bok choy, mushrooms, or spinach) Customize based on preference.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust to your taste.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large pot, heat a little oil over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger; sauté until fragrant.
  2. Pour in the broth and bring to a simmer.
Cooking
  1. Add the wontons and cook according to package directions.
  2. Add in vegetables and soy sauce. Cook until the veggies are tender.
  3. Stir in sesame oil and chili oil.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serving
  1. Serve hot, garnished with green onions.

Notes

If you have leftovers, let the soup cool completely before storing it in an airtight container. It can be kept in the refrigerator for up to three days. To reheat, simply warm on the stove or in the microwave until hot. For a richer flavor, you can add a splash of soy sauce or a dash of fish sauce.
