Ingredients
  

Fruit Snack Base
  • 1.5 cups Strawberries fresh or frozen
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 3 tablespoons Unflavored gelatin
  • 2 tablespoons Honey or maple syrup, adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice

  • Whisk
  • Blender or food processor
  • Silicone Molds

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Puree the strawberries and water together in a blender or food processor until the mixture is completely smooth.
  2. In a small bowl, sprinkle the unflavored gelatin over the lemon juice and let it sit for about 5 minutes to bloom.
  3. Combine the strawberry puree, bloomed gelatin, and honey in a saucepan.
  4. Heat the mixture over low heat, stirring constantly, until the gelatin is fully dissolved; ensure it does not boil.
  5. Carefully pour the warm fruit snack mixture into your silicone molds.
  6. Refrigerate the molds for at least 60 minutes, or until the fruit snacks are completely firm and set.
  7. Gently remove the set fruit snacks from the molds and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

For different flavors, substitute strawberries with other pureed fruits like raspberries or blueberries. These fruit snacks are best enjoyed chilled and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
