  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley (chopped)
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Tongs
  • Whisk
  • Cutting board
  • Knife

Method

Preparing the Steak and Shrimp
  1. Season the steak with salt and pepper, then sear it in a hot skillet with olive oil and 1 tbsp butter for 3-5 minutes per side until desired doneness is reached. Remove the steak and let it rest.
  2. Add the remaining butter to the same skillet and cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until they turn pink and are fully cooked. Remove the shrimp from the skillet.
Making the Creamy Garlic Sauce
  1. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until it becomes fragrant.
  2. Pour in the heavy cream and broth, bring the mixture to a simmer, then stir in the Parmesan cheese until it is melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Stir in the fresh chopped parsley.
Serving
  1. Slice the rested steak and arrange it alongside the cooked shrimp on serving plates. Spoon the creamy garlic sauce generously over the surf and turf and serve immediately.

Notes

Adjust steak cooking time to your preferred doneness. Be careful not to overcook the seafood to keep it tender. Taste and adjust the seasoning of the garlic sauce as needed.
