Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 box Vanilla wafers (11 oz)
  • 4 Bananas ripe
  • 1 lb Strawberries sliced
  • 2 packages Instant vanilla pudding mix (3.4 oz)
  • 3 cups Milk cold
  • 1 container Whipped topping (12 oz), thawed

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Whisk
  • 9x13 inch baking dish
  • Spatula

Method

Assembly
  1. Whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk in a large bowl for 2 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  2. Spread a thin layer of the prepared pudding mixture onto the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  3. Arrange a single layer of vanilla wafers over the pudding, then top with an even layer of sliced bananas and strawberries.
  4. Cover the fruit layers with half of the remaining pudding mixture, spreading it gently to cover completely.
  5. Repeat the layering process with another layer of vanilla wafers, followed by more sliced bananas and strawberries, and then the rest of the pudding.
  6. Carefully spread the thawed whipped topping evenly over the final layer of pudding.
  7. Refrigerate the pudding for a minimum of 4 hours, or preferably overnight, before serving to allow it to set and flavors to meld.

Notes

For best results, chill the pudding for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the wafers to soften perfectly. Garnish with extra fresh fruit before serving.
