  • 1 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 6 tablespoons water
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon chili garlic sauce Adjust to taste for spiciness
Main Ingredients
  • 2 scallions (diced)
  • 6 large hard boiled eggs (peeled) or soft boiled Ensure eggs are peeled before marinating

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, water, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, and chili garlic sauce. Stir well until the sugar dissolves.
Marinating
  1. Gently place the peeled hard-boiled eggs in the marinade. Make sure they are fully submerged in the liquid for better flavor.
  2. Cover the bowl and let the eggs marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or overnight for the best taste.
Serving
  1. Once the eggs are ready, remove them from the marinade, slice them in half if you like, and top with diced scallions. Enjoy your delicious soy sauce eggs!

Notes

Use fresh eggs for the best texture and flavor. Adjust the level of chili garlic sauce to control the heat. Try adding other spices like ginger or sesame oil to enhance the flavor. If using soft-boiled eggs, adjust the marinating time to avoid over-marination.
