Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients.
- Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, and roll in sugar. Place onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Flatten each ball slightly with the bottom of a glass.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden.
- Let cool on wire racks.
Notes
Serve these cookies warm or let them cool down. They taste great with milk or tea. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week or freeze for longer storage.
