Brownie Base
  • 1 cup crushed graham crackers Fine crumbs work best.
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup melted butter Ensure butter is fully melted for easy mixing.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup red velvet cake mix Can substitute with regular cake mix.
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips Feel free to add more for a chocolatey touch.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup milk

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed graham crackers, cocoa powder, and melted butter. Stir until well mixed.
  2. Add the powdered sugar, red velvet cake mix, chocolate chips, vanilla extract, and milk. Mix until a thick batter forms.
  3. Line an 8 x 8 inch baking pan with parchment paper. Press the brownie mixture evenly into the bottom of the pan.
  4. Refrigerate the pan for at least 1 hour to let the brownies set.
  5. Once set, cut the brownies into squares and serve.

Notes

Serve these brownies chilled from the refrigerator. They can also be topped with chocolate sauce or cream cheese frosting. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about a week. For longer storage, freeze them well-wrapped.
