Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds.
Cooking
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground turkey until browned.
- Add the diced tomatoes, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Stuff the mixture into each bell pepper and place them in a baking dish.
- Sprinkle cheese on top of each stuffed pepper and drizzle with olive oil.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
These stuffed peppers are a complete meal but can be served with a side salad or steamed vegetables for extra nutrition. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days or freeze them for longer storage.
