Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pat shrimp dry with paper towels and toss with blackening seasoning until evenly coated.
Cooking
  1. Heat butter and olive oil in a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  2. Add shrimp in a single layer to the hot skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until opaque and slightly charred.

Notes

For extra spice, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the blackening seasoning. Ensure your skillet is very hot for the best blackening effect.
