Ingredients

Peach Filling
  • 6 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Crisp Topping
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine sliced peaches with granulated sugar and lemon juice, then spread them evenly in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, mix together oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Pour in melted butter and stir until the mixture is crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the peaches.
Baking
  1. Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are bubbling.
Serving
  1. Serve warm, optionally with ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

For a firmer topping, don’t overmix the butter with the dry ingredients. Consider adding nuts like pecans or almonds for added crunch. If fresh peaches are not available, use canned or frozen peaches, but drain excess liquid first.
