Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Combine the sliced peaches with 1/2 cup of sugar and set aside.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Stir in the milk and melted butter until just combined, then add the vanilla extract.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
- Spoon the peaches over the batter evenly.
Baking
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Top with cinnamon for added flavor. To store, cover with plastic wrap or foil in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Freeze for longer storage, up to 2 months.
