  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup milk, warmed Make sure it is warm but not hot.
  • 1 large egg
Filling and Icing Ingredients
  • 1 cup Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for icing)

Method
 

Preparation of Dough
  1. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. Stir in melted butter, warmed milk, and egg until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
Filling and Shaping
  1. Roll the dough out into a rectangle.
  2. Spread crushed Oreos, brown sugar, and cinnamon evenly over the dough.
  3. Roll up the dough tightly into a log and slice into rolls.
  4. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Baking
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden.
Icing
  1. For the icing, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
  2. Drizzle icing over warm rolls and serve.

Notes

Serve warm, drizzled with icing. For added crunch, top with extra crushed Oreos. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or refrigerate for up to a week. Reheat in the microwave before serving.
