Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, starting and ending with the flour mixture.
- Mix until just combined.
Assembly
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Drop spoonfuls of Nutella over the batter and swirl it gently with a knife.
- Pour the remaining batter on top and again add Nutella swirls.
Baking
- Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
You can serve warm or at room temperature, with vanilla ice cream or a dusting of powdered sugar. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months. Make sure your butter is softened for a light batter and avoid overmixing the dry ingredients.
