Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- In a separate medium bowl, mash the ripe bananas, then whisk in the egg, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overmix the batter.
- Divide the muffin batter evenly among the 12 prepared muffin cups.
- Drop small dollops of Nutella onto the top of each muffin, then use a toothpick or knife to create a swirl pattern in the batter.
- Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean; let them cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For an extra chocolatey flavor, consider adding 1/2 cup of chocolate chips to the batter along with the wet ingredients.
