  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced Use ripe strawberries for best flavor.
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can substitute with whipped cream for a lighter texture.
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup ladyfinger cookies
  • 1/2 cup brewed coffee Can add a splash of coffee liqueur for a stronger flavor.
  • Cocoa powder for dusting
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix together mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Dip ladyfingers quickly in brewed coffee and layer them in a dish.
  3. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  4. Layer with sliced strawberries.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone mixture.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  7. Before serving, dust with cocoa powder and garnish with mint leaves.

Notes

Store any leftover dessert in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Cover with plastic wrap or foil to keep fresh. Avoid freezing as texture may change.
