Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.

  3. In another bowl, whisk together applesauce, honey (or maple syrup), eggs, vanilla extract, and red food coloring until well combined.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, mixing until smooth.
Baking
  1. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  2. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cooling
  1. Let cool before cutting into squares.
