  • 4 slices Bread slices Use your choice of bread, like whole grain or sourdough.
  • 4 oz Cheddar cheese Or cheese of your choice.
  • 2 tbsp Butter For spreading on the bread.
For dipping
  • 1 cup Tomato soup Warm for dipping.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut the bread into heart shapes.
  2. Butter one side of each heart-shaped bread piece.
  3. Place cheese between two slices of bread, buttered side out.
Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Grill the sandwiches until golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
Serving
  1. Serve with a side of warm tomato soup for dipping.

Notes

You can store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in a skillet or toaster oven.
