Preparation
- Line an 8x8 inch pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
- In a medium saucepan, combine chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter over low heat.
Cooking
- Stir continuously until the chocolate and butter are completely melted and the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt until fully incorporated.
Assembly and Chilling
- Fold in the mini marshmallows and 1/2 cup of M&M's until evenly distributed throughout the fudge mixture.
- Pour the fudge into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly, and then sprinkle additional M&M's on top if desired.
- Refrigerate the fudge for at least 2 hours, or until it is firm enough to cut.
Serving
- Once firm, use the parchment paper overhang to lift the fudge from the pan and cut it into 16 squares.
Notes
Ensure to chill the fudge completely for easy slicing. You can customize with different candies or nuts or use different types of chocolate for variation.
