  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil Adds flavor to the dish.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • Lettuce leaves Boston or Butter lettuce Choose broad leaves for easy wrapping.

Preparation
  1. In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the onion, bell pepper, garlic, and ginger, and sauté until softened.
Cooking
  1. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and shredded carrots. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
Serving
  1. To serve, spoon the beef mixture into the lettuce leaves, sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, and roll up to enjoy.

Notes

Feel free to adjust seasoning. For a lighter option, substitute beef with turkey or chicken. You can add colorful vegetables for more nutrition.
