Ingredients

Ramen
  • 1 packet Instant spicy ramen noodles
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 slice American or cheddar cheese
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 stalk Green onion thinly sliced, for garnish

Equipment

  • Small pot
  • Stove
  • Serving bowl

Method

Preparation
  1. Boil water in a small pot, then add the ramen noodles and the vegetable flakes from the packet, cooking for 2-3 minutes until soft.
  2. Stir in the spicy seasoning packet and continue cooking for 1-2 minutes until noodles reach your desired tenderness.
  3. Crack an egg directly into the pot, poaching it for about 1 minute, aiming for a runny yolk if preferred.
  4. Transfer the ramen to a bowl, top with the cheese slice to melt, and garnish with sliced green onion before serving.

Notes

For extra creaminess, use milk instead of water. Adjust spice level by using less of the seasoning packet. A runny egg yolk mixed with the spicy broth is highly recommended.
