Main Ingredients
  • 3-5 medium bananas 3-5 medium overripe bananas (about 7″ long) Use 3 for the banana milk base and optional 2 for texture.
  • 3 2/3 cup Milk (can be substituted with oat, almond, or your favorite milk choice) 3 cups for mixing with the banana milk base.
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons Sugar Use 1 tablespoon for a less sweet version or 2 tablespoons for a sweeter version.
  • 1/3 cup Condensed Milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice 3 medium bananas and place them into a large bowl or measuring cup.
  2. Optional: If you want to add texture, finely cube 1-2 more bananas to add at the end.
  3. For the banana milk base, add 2/3 cup of milk, 1-2 tablespoons of sugar, and 1/4 to 1/3 cup of condensed milk to a large bowl or measuring cup. Optionally, add 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  4. Blend the mixture with an immersion blender until it is smooth and lump-free.
  5. Pour the banana milk base into a large drink container. Add 3 cups of milk to the base and mix with a spoon to combine. If you added cubed bananas, mix them in now.
  6. Chill for a few hours before serving. It’s best served chilled, but if you want to drink it right away, serve it over ice.

Notes

Korean Banana Milk is best served cold. It pairs well with breakfast foods, baked goods, or can be enjoyed on its own. Store leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container and consume within 2-3 days. Stir well before drinking, as separation can occur. You can also add a spoonful of peanut butter or a sprinkle of cinnamon for a unique twist.
