Preparation
- Slice 3 medium bananas and place them into a large bowl or measuring cup.
- Optional: If you want to add texture, finely cube 1-2 more bananas to add at the end.
- For the banana milk base, add 2/3 cup of milk, 1-2 tablespoons of sugar, and 1/4 to 1/3 cup of condensed milk to a large bowl or measuring cup. Optionally, add 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- Blend the mixture with an immersion blender until it is smooth and lump-free.
- Pour the banana milk base into a large drink container. Add 3 cups of milk to the base and mix with a spoon to combine. If you added cubed bananas, mix them in now.
- Chill for a few hours before serving. It’s best served chilled, but if you want to drink it right away, serve it over ice.
Notes
Korean Banana Milk is best served cold. It pairs well with breakfast foods, baked goods, or can be enjoyed on its own. Store leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container and consume within 2-3 days. Stir well before drinking, as separation can occur. You can also add a spoonful of peanut butter or a sprinkle of cinnamon for a unique twist.
