Preparation
- Slice jalapeños in half lengthwise and carefully remove seeds and membranes.
- In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, and salt.
- Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
- Wrap each filled jalapeño with a half slice of bacon.
Cooking
- Arrange poppers on a baking sheet and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes.
- Cook until bacon is crispy and cheese is bubbly and golden.
Notes
For less heat, soak the jalapeño halves in ice water for 30 minutes after deseeding.
