Ingredients

Jello Ingredients
  • 4 tablespoons Unflavored Gelatin preferably grass-fed
  • 1 cup Cold Water
  • 3 cups 100% Fruit Juice e.g., tart cherry, cranberry, warmed slightly if preferred
  • 1-2 tablespoons Honey or Maple Syrup optional, to taste

Equipment

  • Medium bowl
  • Saucepan
  • Whisk
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Glass dish or molds

Method

Making the Jello
  1. In a medium bowl, sprinkle the unflavored gelatin over 1 cup of cold water and let it sit for 5-10 minutes to bloom and soften.
  2. Gently warm the fruit juice in a saucepan over low heat if desired, then add the bloomed gelatin mixture and optional sweetener, stirring continuously until the gelatin is completely dissolved and no granules remain.
  3. Pour the jello mixture carefully into a glass dish, individual molds, or desired serving container. Transfer to the refrigerator and chill for at least 4 hours, or until completely firm.

Notes

For best results, use 100% pure fruit juice with no added sugars. You can experiment with different juice combinations like apple-ginger or berry blends. Ensure your gelatin is grass-fed for optimal nutritional benefits.
