  • Piping bag with star tip
  • Deep fryer or large pot
  • Tongs
  • Paper towels
  • Small bowls
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Whisk

Method

Make the Churro Dough
  1. Combine water, butter, 1/4 cup sugar, and salt in a saucepan; bring to a boil, then remove from heat.
  2. Stir in flour until a ball forms, then return to medium heat, stirring for 1-2 minutes until a film forms at the bottom of the pan.
  3. Transfer dough to a bowl, beat in eggs one at a time until fully incorporated, then mix in vanilla.
Fry the Churro Bites
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pipe 1-inch pieces of dough into the hot oil, cutting with scissors, and fry until golden brown.
  3. Remove churro bites with tongs and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
Coat and Serve
  1. Mix 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl, then toss the warm churro bites in the mixture.
  2. Warm Nutella slightly for easier dipping and serve alongside the cinnamon-sugar coated churro bites.

Notes

Ensure oil is at the correct temperature for best results. Do not overcrowd the fryer. Serve immediately for optimal crispiness.
