Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
Mixing the Dough
- In a large bowl, combine melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar, mixing until smooth.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined and no streaks of flour remain.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Baking
- Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 9-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For an extra gourmet touch, sprinkle a pinch of flaky sea salt on top of the cookies before baking.
