Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced thinly Slice thinly to ensure it cooks quickly and stays tender.
  • 2 cups broccoli florets Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas.
Sauce Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari Use tamari for gluten-free option.
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch Optional, for thickening.
  • 1/4 cup beef broth or water Add more for a saucier dish.
Seasoning
  • Salt and pepper To taste.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, marinate the sliced beef with soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and ginger for 20 minutes.
Cooking
  1. In a pan, heat a little oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Remove the beef from the pan and set it aside.
  3. In the same pan, add the broccoli and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender.
  4. If using, mix cornstarch with beef broth or water and add it to the pan. Stir well until the sauce thickens.
  5. Return the beef to the pan, mix everything well, and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot, either on its own or with white rice.

Notes

You can serve this dish over white rice, brown rice, or even quinoa. Add sesame seeds on top for extra flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for up to a month. Reheat in a pan or microwave.
