  • 8 ounces penne pasta
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

  • to taste Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until the shrimp turns pink, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked penne pasta to the skillet and toss everything together.
  6. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese and garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

Serve hot, topped with Parmesan cheese and parsley. Pairs well with a side salad or garlic bread. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat with a splash of olive oil or water.
