Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until combined.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and beat until light and fluffy.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spread the brownie batter evenly in the prepared pan.
- Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough over the brownie batter, spreading it out as evenly as possible.
- Use a knife to swirl the brownie and cookie dough together gently.
Baking
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool in the pan before slicing into squares and serving.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature. For an extra treat, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream or drizzle with chocolate sauce. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to five days, or freeze for up to three months.
