Ingredients
  

For the Brownie Batter
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
For the Cookie Dough
  • 1 cup cookie dough (store-bought or homemade)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until combined.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and beat until light and fluffy.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Spread the brownie batter evenly in the prepared pan.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough over the brownie batter, spreading it out as evenly as possible.
  8. Use a knife to swirl the brownie and cookie dough together gently.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  2. Allow to cool in the pan before slicing into squares and serving.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. For an extra treat, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream or drizzle with chocolate sauce. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to five days, or freeze for up to three months.
