Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
- Beat in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined.
Assembly
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
- Melt butterscotch chips and drizzle over the brownie layer.
- Spread the remaining brownie batter on top and use a knife to swirl the butterscotch into it.
- Sprinkle sea salt on top.
Baking
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-4 days. For longer storage, wrap tightly in plastic wrap and freeze for up to 3 months. Use high-quality butterscotch chips for the best flavor. Add nuts for extra crunch or increase butterscotch chips for a stronger flavor.
