Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Pre-bake the pie crust according to the package instructions or your recipe. Allow it to cool.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Gradually stir in the water and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and boils.
- Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice.
- Place the sliced strawberries in the cooled pie crust and pour the glossy filling over them.
Chilling
- Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours, or until set. Serve chilled.
Notes
Serve chilled for the best flavor and texture. Optionally, add whipped cream or vanilla ice cream on top. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
