Preparation
- Gently melt the dark chocolate using a double boiler or microwave, stirring until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder and powdered sugar.
- Stir the cocoa mixture into the melted chocolate, adding vanilla extract if desired, until fully combined.
- Spoon the chocolate mixture into silicone molds or small paper cups, inserting a stick or spoon into each.
- Refrigerate the spoons for at least one hour, or until completely firm.
- Carefully remove the set hot chocolate spoons from the molds and store them in an airtight container.
Notes
For variations, add a pinch of cinnamon, chili powder, or crushed peppermint candy to the chocolate mixture before setting.
