Soup Base
  • 4 cups Chicken Broth
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 inch piece Fresh Ginger grated
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
Main Ingredients
  • 12-16 Frozen Dumplings about 12 oz
  • 5 oz Baby Spinach
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
Garnish
  • 2 Green Onions sliced

Method
 

Soup Prep
  1. Combine broth, water, grated ginger, and minced garlic in a large pot and bring to a simmer over medium-high heat.
Cook Dumplings
  1. Carefully add the frozen dumplings to the simmering broth, reduce heat to medium, and cook according to package directions, usually 5-8 minutes, until tender.
Add Vegetables & Seasoning
  1. Stir in the baby spinach, soy sauce, and sesame oil, cooking for another 1-2 minutes until the spinach wilts.
Serve

Notes

For extra flavor, you can sauté a small amount of minced shallots or white onion in the pot before adding the liquids.
