Preparation
- Season the beef patties with salt and pepper.
- Cook the patties on a grill or in a skillet over medium-high heat for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until cooked to your desired doneness.
- In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty to melt.
- Toast the hamburger bun lightly.
- Assemble the burger by placing one beef patty on the bottom half of the bun, then add lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles.
- Place the second beef patty on top and add ketchup and mustard to taste.
- Close the burger with the top half of the bun and serve.
Notes
Serve the Double Cheeseburger with a side of fries or a fresh salad for a complete meal. It pairs well with cold drinks, like soda or iced tea.
