Ingredients

Christmas Trees
  • 12 Mini powdered sugar donuts
  • 12-18 Fresh strawberries
  • 1/2 cup White frosting
  • few drops Green food coloring optional
  • 2 tbsp Powdered sugar for dusting
  • as needed Holiday sprinkles

Equipment

  • Serving platter
  • Piping bag (optional)

Method

Assembly
  1. Wash and pat dry the strawberries. If using, tint the white frosting with green food coloring.
  2. Place a small dab of frosting on the bottom of a mini donut to secure it to your serving platter. Pipe or spread a small amount of frosting on top of the first donut.
  3. Stack a second mini donut on top of the first, securing it with more frosting. Repeat this process to create a stable base for your tree.
  4. Attach strawberries around the stacked donuts using small dabs of frosting, arranging them to resemble tree branches. Continue layering until you form a tree shape.
  5. Dust the completed donut and strawberry Christmas trees with powdered sugar to simulate snow, and decorate with holiday sprinkles as desired.

Notes

For extra stability, insert a wooden skewer through the center of the donuts before adding strawberries. Use various sizes of strawberries for a more natural tree look.
