Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pecans) Feel free to choose your favorite nuts.
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup Adjust sweetness as needed.
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil or melted coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup dried fruits (raisins, cranberries, or apricots) Add after baking.
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the rolled oats, nuts, salt, and cinnamon.
Cooking
  1. In a small saucepan over low heat, combine honey (or maple syrup), oil, and vanilla extract. Stir until mixed well.
  2. Pour the wet ingredients over the dry ingredients and stir until everything is well coated.
  3. Spread the mixture in an even layer on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden brown.
  5. Remove from the oven and let cool before mixing in the dried fruits.
Serving
  1. Serve granola with yogurt and fresh fruit, sprinkle it on smoothies, or enjoy it straight from the jar.

Notes

Store homemade granola in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks. For longer storage, keep it in the fridge or freezer. Feel free to swap nuts and dried fruits based on your preferences and experiment with additional spices if desired.
