  • 1.5 cups milk (any kind) or half-and-half
  • 10 ounces fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (e.g., Swiss, Gruyere, or cheddar)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish or baking dish.
  2. Sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic in a pan until softened, then add the spinach and cook until wilted. Squeeze out any excess liquid from the spinach.
Assembly & Baking
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  2. Stir in the cooked spinach and onion mixture, along with the shredded cheese, into the egg mixture.
  3. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and bake for 40-50 minutes, or until the quiche is set and lightly golden brown.
  4. Let the quiche cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of nutmeg to the egg mixture or a sprinkle of paprika on top before baking.
