Preparation
- In a medium skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing for 2-3 minutes until the onion is fragrant and translucent.
- Add ground beef to the skillet and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, for about 5-7 minutes until it’s no longer pink and beautifully browned.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let the flavors meld for a minute or two.
- Remove the skillet from heat and transfer the beef mixture to a bowl. Allow it to cool slightly before folding in the shredded cheddar cheese.
Assembly and Cooking
- On a clean surface, take an egg roll wrapper and wet the edges with water. Spoon a generous amount of beef and cheese filling into the center, then fold and roll tightly, sealing well.
- In a clean skillet, pour enough oil to cover the bottom and heat over medium-high heat. Carefully add the egg rolls, frying each side for 2-3 minutes until they are golden brown and crunchy.
- Remove the egg rolls from the skillet and place them on a napkin-lined plate to absorb any excess oil. Serve warm for that perfect crispy bite!
Notes
These Crispy Cheeseburger Eggrolls are best served hot. Pair them with your favorite dipping sauces like ketchup, mustard, or a creamy ranch dressing. If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes to regain their crispiness. For healthier options, use turkey or chicken and add veggies.
