Ingredients

Churro Bites
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 2 tbsp Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup All-purpose Flour
  • 1 Large Egg
Cinnamon Sugar Coating
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Medium Saucepan
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Piping Bag with Star Tip

Method

Preparation
  1. Combine water, butter, 2 tbsp sugar, and salt in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in flour until a ball of dough forms.
  2. Let the dough cool slightly, then beat in the egg until fully incorporated and the dough is smooth. Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
Air Frying
  1. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Pipe 1-2 inch pieces of dough into the air fryer basket, leaving space between each.
  2. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through if needed. Work in batches to avoid overcrowding.
Finishing and Serving
  1. While churros cook, mix 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl.
  2. Immediately after air frying, toss the warm churro bites in the cinnamon sugar mixture until well coated. Serve hot, optionally with chocolate dipping sauce.

Notes

For best results, serve these churro bites immediately while still warm. You can line your air fryer basket with parchment paper for easier cleanup, ensuring it's weighted down to prevent it from flying around.
