Preparation
- Hard boil the eggs, then cool them in an ice bath before peeling and slicing them in half lengthwise.
- Carefully scoop out the yolks into a bowl, arranging the egg white halves on a platter.
Filling and Assembly
- Mash the egg yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt, pepper, and a few drops of food coloring until smooth and evenly colored.
- Transfer the yolk mixture to a piping bag or a spoon and fill each egg white half.
Decoration
- For spider eggs, place a halved olive in the center and arrange small chive pieces around it as legs.
- Alternatively, for eyeball eggs, use a whole olive slice for the iris and a small dot of red food coloring for veins.
Notes
For extra spooky effects, use red food coloring gel to draw "bloodshot" veins on the egg whites before filling.
