Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until softened.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- In a large bowl, combine sour cream and cream of mushroom soup. Mix in the cooked noodles and the beef mixture.
- Transfer this mixture to a greased casserole dish and top with shredded cheese.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Pairs well with a green salad or steamed vegetables. For extra flavor, add a dash of hot sauce. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-5 days or frozen for up to 2 months. Thaw in the fridge before reheating.
