  • 2 tbsp All-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley chopped
  • 4 cups Cooked white rice

Method
 

Creamy Smothered Chicken
  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper; brown in olive oil in a large skillet until golden, then set aside.
  2. Melt butter in the same skillet, then sauté diced onion until softened and add minced garlic for one minute.
  3. Whisk in flour until a paste forms, then gradually add chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring until smooth and thickened.
  4. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and bubbly.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet, coating it with the creamy sauce, and simmer until chicken is cooked through.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley.
Serving
  1. Serve the creamy smothered chicken immediately over fluffy cooked white rice.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider browning the chicken thighs instead of breasts. Adjust the consistency of the sauce by adding more chicken broth if desired.
