Preparation
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through; remove chicken and set aside.
- Add minced garlic to the same skillet and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, bringing the mixture to a simmer. Stir in Italian seasoning and grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce begins to thicken.
- Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the creamy sauce over them. Let simmer for a few minutes to heat through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving hot.
Notes
For a thicker sauce, you can mix a teaspoon of cornstarch with a tablespoon of cold water and stir it into the simmering sauce.
