- In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until it is smooth and creamy.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar, then mix in the peppermint extract and optional red food coloring.
- Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping until all ingredients are well combined and the mixture is fluffy.
- Pour the peppermint mixture into the graham cracker crust and spread it evenly.
- Sprinkle the crushed candy canes generously over the top of the pie.
- Chill the pie for at least 4 hours, or until it is firm, before slicing and serving.
Notes
