Preparation
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Unroll the crescent dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
Making the Bites
- In a small bowl, combine softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and orange zest until smooth, then gently fold in the chopped dried cranberries.
- Separate the crescent dough into 8 triangles. Spoon a small amount of the cream cheese mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
- Starting from the wide end, carefully roll each crescent triangle towards the pointed end, ensuring the filling is enclosed.
- Brush the tops of the rolled bites with the beaten egg and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
Serving
- Let the cranberry cream cheese crescent bites cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack, then serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
For an extra touch, sprinkle with powdered sugar after baking and cooling slightly.
