  • 4 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon orange zest optional
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries chopped
Egg Wash
  • 1 large egg beaten

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Unroll the crescent dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
Making the Bites
  1. In a small bowl, combine softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and orange zest until smooth, then gently fold in the chopped dried cranberries.
  2. Separate the crescent dough into 8 triangles. Spoon a small amount of the cream cheese mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
  3. Starting from the wide end, carefully roll each crescent triangle towards the pointed end, ensuring the filling is enclosed.
  4. Brush the tops of the rolled bites with the beaten egg and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
Serving
  1. Let the cranberry cream cheese crescent bites cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack, then serve warm or at room temperature.
