  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced Use tender cuts for the best flavor and texture.
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth You can use beef stock for a richer flavor.
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season according to your taste.

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onions and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until they become soft.
  3. Next, add the sliced beef, cooking it until browned on all sides.
  4. Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook until they begin to release their moisture.
  5. Sprinkle the flour over the beef and mushrooms, stirring to coat everything evenly.
  6. Gradually pour in the beef broth, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens.
  7. Reduce the heat and mix in the sour cream. Season with salt and pepper according to your taste.
  8. Serve the stroganoff over cooked egg noodles.

Notes

Serve warm over a bed of egg noodles, optionally garnished with fresh parsley. Ideal for cozy family meals, can be paired with a side salad or steamed vegetables. Store leftovers in an airtight container; they will last up to 3 days in the fridge or up to 2 months in the freezer.
