  • 1 pound beef sirloin, sliced into strips Using tender beef sirloin makes a big difference.
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced Avoid overcooking to prevent them from becoming watery.
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream Can substitute with Greek yogurt for a healthier option.
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Egg noodles, for serving
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish) Used for a beautiful presentation.

Preparation
  1. In a large skillet, cook the sliced beef over medium-high heat until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the onions and mushrooms; cook until softened.
  3. Sprinkle the flour over the mixture and stir well.
  4. Gradually add the beef broth while stirring continuously until the sauce thickens.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet, add Worcestershire sauce, and mix well.
  6. Stir in the sour cream and cook until heated through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serving
  1. Serve over cooked egg noodles and garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

To store, let it cool completely and place it in an airtight container. It can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
