Ingredients
Method
Prepare the dough
- Warm the milk until it is lukewarm. Sprinkle the yeast over the milk and let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add the melted butter, eggs, and the yeast mixture to the dry ingredients.
- Mix until a dough forms and then knead it on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.
Prepare the filling and shape the buns
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread it with butter and sprinkle with a mixture of brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll the dough into a log and cut it into slices.
- Place the slices in a greased pan and let them rise again for about 30 minutes.
Bake the buns
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the buns for 20-25 minutes until they are golden.
- Serve the buns warm.
Notes
Make sure the milk is not too hot when you add the yeast, as high temperatures can kill it. Knead the dough well for a soft texture. For extra flavor, consider adding nuts or dried fruit to the filling. Let the buns cool slightly before serving to avoid burning your mouth.
