Making the Truffle Base
- Crumble the Christmas Tree Cakes into a large mixing bowl until fine.
- Add the softened cream cheese to the crumbled cakes and mix thoroughly until a cohesive dough forms.
- Roll the mixture into small, bite-sized balls, approximately 1-inch in diameter.
- Place the rolled truffles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or until firm.
Coating and Decorating
- Melt the white candy melts according to package directions in a microwave-safe bowl.
- Dip each chilled truffle into the melted white candy, ensuring it is fully coated, then place back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Immediately sprinkle with Christmas sprinkles before the coating sets. If using green candy melts, melt them and drizzle over some truffles for an extra touch.
- Chill the finished truffles for another 15-20 minutes, or until the candy coating is completely set.
Notes
For best results, ensure the truffles are well-chilled before dipping to prevent them from falling apart.
